In Reiki 2 we learn to work with 3 different Reiki symbols. One of these symbols is a distance healing symbol that operates beyond time and space. With this symbol, it is possible to send healing to the past and also to the future so it is possible on one hand to heal traumas and injuries that occurred in the past and on the other hand to send healing to events in the future, such as a job interview. The distance symbol enables us to send healing to one or more people who aren’t physically near us so that in that way we can also send healing to a person that lives on a different continent.
How does sending distance healing work?
The distant healing works because everything in the universe is made of energy. In fact, the distant symbol enables us to connect with the energy of people and places that are far away from us. Because this symbol operates beyond time and space, it enables us to treat a person as if he is close to us.
There are several methods to send distant healing after receiving the attunement in Reiki 2: using a picture of the person you treat, writing the patient’s name on a piece of paper, using a teddy bear or a doll that will operate as a surrogate to the patient, imagining the patient small and treating him with the palms, imagining that one is the participant and performing self-healing, and more….
An exercise to sense energy: put the palms of your hands facing one another but not touching. Move them closer (still without touching) and distance them. Do so several times until you feel the energy starting to build up between the hands. At this stage, with the energy created, form an imaginary ball and start playing with it.
